Overview
About Me
This summer (2026), I’m embarking on a personal pilgrimage through the wild landscapes of British Columbia, blending nature immersion, photography, and embodied movement. I feel most at home in forests, mountains, and near water, and this journey is a way of returning to my own natural rhythms.
My path is both creative and contemplative. Through photography, I capture moments where inner and outer landscapes meet. Through embodied movement, I listen to the wisdom of my body and the land, allowing each place to shape how I move and express.
I come from years of working outdoors in forestry and remote environments, so my connection to nature is lived and practical. This chapter, though, is about bringing more intention and soul into that relationship. I’m moving gently and sustainably, rebuilding physical strength, presence, and resilience along the way.
This pilgrimage isn’t about arriving somewhere — it’s about deepening relationship: with the land, with creativity, and with an authentic way of being. As I travel, I hope to inspire others to reconnect with their own nature, both inner and outer, and to trust the wisdom that lives there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I’m spending this season on a personal pilgrimage through nature in British Columbia, focusing on photography, embodied movement, and reconnecting with the land.
Rather than traveling as a tourist, I’m moving slowly and intentionally, learning from the places and people I meet along the way. Couchsurfing allows me to travel simply, stay within my means, and share meaningful conversations and cultural exchange with others.
I value connection, respect, and reciprocity, and I’m grateful for opportunities to meet open-minded people who appreciate nature, creativity, and authentic living.
Interests
I love being in nature and moving my body — hiking, dancing, or just wandering outdoors. Movement is a big part of how I process life and stay grounded. I’ve spent a lot of my life working in outdoor and remote places, so being outside feels normal and important to me.
I’m interested in psychology, personal growth, and good conversations about life. I’m pretty down-to-earth and value honesty, respect, and a relaxed atmosphere. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing stories, meals, or a walk outside.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m drawn to books that explore the psyche, consciousness, and what it means to live a meaningful life. I read mostly depth psychology and spiritual/philosophical work rather than fiction.
Some of the authors who’ve influenced me most are Carl Jung, Marion Woodman, James Hollis, Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Marie-Louise von Franz, Donald Kalsched, Stanislav Grof, Iain McGilchrist, and Paulo Freire.
I also appreciate contemporary spiritual teachers like Adyashanti, Pema Chödrön, J. Krishnamurti, Ken Wilber, Carolyn Myss, David Hawkins, Jason Gregory, and Joe Dispenza. These writers have shaped how I understand creativity, consciousness, and the human experience.
My music taste is wide open — I listen to almost everything depending on mood and setting. I love music that feels soulful, emotional, or alive, and I often let the environment or the moment guide what I play.
I don’t watch a lot of TV or movies — I tend to prefer being outside, reading, reflecting, or creating. When I do watch something, it’s usually a documentary or something related to nature or psychology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled to southern Brazil and learned about the Landless Workers Movement (MST - Movimento Sem Terra) while I was there. I had the opportunity to see and learn about their settlements and cooperatives that were in various stages of development. This experience left me very inspired and in awe at what people can accomplish when they support each other and work together. It gave me hope that another kind of life, that doesn't revolve around money and maintaining the status quo is possible...
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy teaching and sharing from lived experience — especially embodied movement, creativity, and connecting with nature as a mirror for inner life. I’m not interested in being a teacher necessarily, but in exploring alongside others and encouraging people to trust their own rhythms and inner wisdom.
Right now, I’m learning about balance, sustainable pacing, and allowing for more lightness and joy into my life. My path is very much about listening — to the body, to nature, and to what feels meaningful.
What I share most naturally are reflections, presence, photography, movement, and honest conversations about living intuitively and staying connected to what feels real.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I travel simply and respectfully, and I value genuine human connection. I’m happy to share good conversation, a listening ear, and thoughtful exchange about life, nature, creativity, and different perspectives. I can also share photography, embodied movement practices in nature, and reflections from my travels.
On a practical level, I’m considerate in shared spaces, clean up after myself, and am glad to help with meals, small tasks, or anything that makes hosting feel reciprocal. I appreciate the generosity of hosts and aim to bring presence, gratitude, and respect wherever I stay.
