ABOUT ME

I am a seeker--I'm very curious about the world and my surroundings. I enjoy meeting adventurous people with genuine hearts. I enjoy painting, writing, and singing (I play guitar but I love listening to mandolin or accordion--like old Italian songs or Yann Tiersen-like waltzes).

I am a part of WWOOF.it (world wide organization of organic farmers), and spent the summer of 2011 and the spring of 2012 in the dirt.

I'm adventurous, but I definitely know how to relax. I'm thoughtful and sincere, full of joy. Very simple things make me happy. An adventure; a surprise.

PHILOSOPHY

This is the personal philosophy I aim for at least: life is short--don't let fear get in the way of my goals. Live in moderation. Practice acts of kindness. Love.

Yann Tiersen & Gustavo Santaolalla are my current favorite musicians. I enjoy African music and dance! I absolutely love live jazz, especially if it's drums, keys, guitar, and stand up base. Everything from tango, big band, to flamenco and swing.

Every time I climb a mountain I am amazed, from little day hikes to Half Dome in Yosemite to the Grand Canyon to Mount Etna. I was amazed when my friends and I were invited to sing in front of hundreds of people without them ever having heard us! I am amazed at life on farms...the simplicity and stillness woven with a surprising magnitude of life that vibrates every season of change.

I'd like to know a bit about wherever I go: whether it its history, some of your experiences there. I enjoy going on hikes. I love learning about different customs and practices. I want to learn how to sail or how to dance. I want to live sustainably.

I enjoy cooking, but I get nervous if people are picky. I keep enjoy cleaning or helping do random home repairs or misc. work. I love gardening! I want to be a farmer, but I know little about it. I'll be staying on WWOOF farms in the UK, Ireland, and Italy this year so I should be able to update this by then. I'm proficient with Macs...if 10 years' experience has taught me anything. If you need anything edited, I'm your girl: graduated with an English degree & Creative Writing minor. If you've always wanted to paint, let's go out and paint together!
