ABOUT ME

I'm 25, origionally from a small village called Eckingtonin, Worcestershire, England. Met my girlfriend Holly (24, from West Pennard, nr Glastonbury, Somerset) at Southampton University. Holly did a degree in Psychology followed by a Teaching qualification and I did a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Had jobs for a couple of years to raise funds for some travelling.

We set out to Delhi, India, from England beginning of October. Headed straight for Nepal and stumbled our way around the annapurna circuit. On return we passed out in a tired stupor for about 3 days then found ourselves buying a 500cc Royal Enfield (motorbike). We rode the bike across Nepal to darjeeling where we were very British and did lots of Tea tasting. From there headed to Varnassi, Agra and down to Goa and Karnataka.

Flew to Thailand just after Christmas and went straight to Ko Tao where we spent 3 weeks chilling out on the beaches and relaxing a bit after the more hectic travels in India. After this went to Ko Taratao and camped on the desolate beaches for a week before heading up north to Chang mai and the lovely Pai.

Back in Chang mai now and planning on working our way down to Singapore where we catch a flight to Darwin, Australia in what is apparently the middle of the wet season. (now i know why the flight was so cheap!)

In Oz we plan to buy a van and drive to Kakadu, ayres rock, cairnes, brisbane, sydney, melbourne and what ever we find in between. This is just a rough plan and hasn't been researched in any detail. got 4 months down under so will just go with the flow. Hope to do lots of surfing and maybe some kite surfing.

Get back to England mid to end of june just in time for the Glastonbury festival, (if we get tickets).

Planning on spending the English summer sailing the south coast of England with Holly and my old man. Hope to make it over to the isles of scilly for a few weeks.

In September reality is gonna kick in again. Doh! Gonna have to get jobs and the like. Hopefully settle down in Plymouth, get a job and a house etc.....

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hoping to meet with people in malaysia, singapore and Australia whilst we are travelling. Just sold our house before we left but have a couch ready and waiting in storage! Hope to get a pad down in Plymouth, Devon, England around October 2007 and then will be happy to have people to stay a night or 2.

movies:
I'll watch most things, except mindless shooting and blowing things up and science fiction! Comedy in particular. Hol like most things as well and also has a soft spot for period dramas and the pixar movies such as lilo and stitch and ice age!

Music:
From rock to Jazz, blues, old school hip hop, to a bit of drum n bass. We like most things and prefer music live. Particular frav's are:
Killers, Jack johnson, simon and g, jurassic 5, snow patrol and many many more but as always when someone asks the mind goes blank....one of the mysteries of the world...

Books:

I'm reading Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance.

Hol's reading Captain corellies mandolin ...again... an old favorite of hers.

The Himalyas (They're BIG). We were well chuffed with ourselves for walking the Anapurna circuit, over 100 miles of walking and to a hight of 5500m.

Riding the Royal Enfield around India and living to tell the tale!

I could teach sailing (hopefully we'll have a 21 foot corabie down near Plymouth) and basics of surfing ,have a few boards that could be borowed and know Devon and Cornwall area reasonably well.

Hol and I both Play Guitar and are always looking for people to teach us more and play along with. Could also teach a beginer a few simple things.
