About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Europe... my next frontier. These are the voyages of an aspiring archaeologist His continuing mission. To explore strange ancient civilizations. To seek out new freinds and new ideas. To boldly rip off the opening lines of a great show.

ABOUT ME

I can come off as anything from quiet to extremely outgoing and silly though I do tend towards being friendly but polite when first meeting someone.
It is my hope to one day be a practicing archaeologist.
When given the chance I love to share in my many interests and hobbies and am always eager to be exposed to new ideas and activities.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to know everything. As that is not possible in my lifetime I will settle for experiencing as much good as I can and doing my best to provide good experiences to those I encounter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing as I have not yet travelled extensively during my lifetime. I have had the pleasure of meeting and entertaining couch surfers who have stayed with friends of mine and once I settle back into one place I intend to host them as frequently as possible. Until then I will just do my best to be a fun and respectful guest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met several surfers through friends and they were some of the most interesting folks I've had the pleasure to talk to.

Interests

My interests range wide and far and include nightlife (concerts, parties, clubs, pubs et c.), attending plays, science fiction, ancient history, mythology, architecture, story telling, medieval reenactment, nature walks, archaeology, many types of music, camping, swimming, boating and pretty much anything else I can share with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

My tastes heavily lean towards science fiction and fantasy for books though I read mystery, classical literature, poetry and pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Never mind, I just love books all round.
Movies I usually want something funny, thought provoking or action oriented.
As for music I like something from almost every genre though I am particularly fond of classic rock & roll, Gregorian chant and Goa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once while climbing a mountain in the Rockies in Alberta Canada I looked down across the landscape with the clouds at the upper edge of my vision. I marvelled at the land's beauty then looked up and had a moment of purity. Above the clouds the range of mountain tops spread away into the distance. That memory will stay with me forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some archaeological knowledge. I am also a fount of trivia.
I would love to learn more about black smithing, leather working, archaeology, mythology and stories. Or just about anything others are willing to teach me.
