About Me

I grew up in a dusty desert town, and I've been a nomad craving for mountains ever since.

I appreciate art, architecture, language and history. I'm also an avid reader who likes to write and I scribble down poems whenever a muse presents itself for inspiration. I'm learning how to play the ukulele, and I enjoy impromptu jam sessions. I also love trekking - the forests, hills and mountains are my go-to places to visit whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I'm obsessed with experimenting in the kitchen, and I take pride in making the most with whatever is lying around in the pantry. I love learning new languages and exploring cultures, and I believe food is the ideal medium for people to bond and understand one another.

I also play basketball and table tennis.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe there's no point going to a place if you don't learn to live as the locals do.

I enjoy deep conversations, and would love to learn more about your thoughts, beliefs, passions and world views.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
I have no boundaries as such, but I tend to lean towards rock, metal, folk, alternative, reggae, psytrance and indie. If you have a good song to share, I'd love to hear it.
My favourite artists include Metallica, Tool, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Queen, Alter Bridge, Opeth, Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, Steve Wilson, Dream Theater, Aerosmith, The Fray, Nirvana, Coldplay, Muse, Eric Clapton, The Beatles and more. I listen to pretty every genre of music :D

MOVIES
Star Wars Saga, LOTR, Quentin Tarantino's work, Matrix Trilogy, 12 Angry Men, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Fight Club, Amelie, The Shawshank Redemption, and several others. I watch movies from all over the world and typically do not stick to a single genre.

BOOKS
The works of Michael Crichton, Isaac Asimov, George Orwell, Robert Ludlum, Khaled Hosseini, Arundhati Roy, Kafka, Christopher Paolini, Stieg Larsson, Haruki Murakami. I also grew up with JK Rowling.
Manga and graphic novels - Maus, Persepolis, Fullmetal Alchemist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While at university, I co-founded a non-profit to help the underprivileged access educational resources.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH
I can teach you whatever I learned in the School of Life. Maybe English, Science, Tech and several other topics? I also speak over 7 languages.

LEARN
I'd love to learn about new cultures, languages, people and places. Have a favourite cafe that has the greatest croissant you've ever had? Do share!

SHARE
My life experiences, jam sessions, and every random thing I've picked up over the years.
