About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy my time off while I have some!
ABOUT ME
I figure that even if my physical age is 25, my mental age still has a fair bit to catch up on so it's time to go out and have a bit of a laugh. If anyone knows where to rent a human sized hamster ball near a lake, let me know!
Other than that I'd never say no to a bit of a cycle, some frisbee, a crappy movie or even a good movie! :P I've been recently unemployed so I've taken the opportunity to travel around Europe, Canada and Boston meeting up with different friends I have around the world.
I've never actually surfed a couch but I'm interested in meeting up with people, especially locals, to find out more about the area.
I'd be up for most things. If you want to go rock climbing, potholing, cycling, walking, driving, drinking coffee, cooking food (and especially eating food!), count me in! I can promise to bring bad jokes and terrible puns with me ;)
EDIT: Dear Vancouvens (Vancouverians?), I have an Irish accent. That makes me cool by default, right? So if I send you a message, say yes! :p
PHILOSOPHY
If you want to do something, go do it! Don't hang around and let life pass you by.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've met up with a few people via my friend Karl both in Ireland and when travelling last summer. I just started up the profile a couple of days ago for my trip to london and am still filling everything in!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been going out to various events and meetups both at home in Dublin and when I'm abroad in different countries :)
Interests
Lets just say that if you read Questionable Content and recognise about 2/3's of the bands named there, you know roughly the kind of music I like.
I love cycling for fun. Nothings better than packing a bit of food up and heading off somewhere for a picnic :) I also wouldn't say no to a game of frisbee or tag rugby if something was being organised. I'd even try my hand at football (soccer for you Americans ;) ) if you don't mind me being a bit crap

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music! I've been to a bunch of concerts recently for Spoon, Interpol, The National, Owen Pallet) and listen to everything from Radiohead, Mogwai, R.E.M., The National, Neutral Milk Hotel, Passion Pit to god knows what. Not rap or R&B though, definitely not for me :P
Just re-reading the Wheel of Time series at the moment in preparation for the final book. It's been so long since I've read them all and I have to finish them. You can't give up half way through a series!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving on Mission Beach in Australia. Nothing better than falling from 16,000ft with the ocean on one side and the land on the other.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people how to play Hurling or Gaelic Football (our national sports) or for people who've no idea how to play guitar, I can pretend to be an expert guitarist and teach you something easy :p
If you like stew and have an oven and 2 hours, I could show you how to make a traditional Irish (pork) stew. Want to learn irish? Well, that'd be a problem. I don't actually speak it that well :p
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Morocco, United Kingdom, United States
