Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am heading to South America and 4 months and Southeast Asia for 3 months on a journey of a lifetime. I'm leaving the big city of Toronto in search of how the other side lives and would love to meet up with like-minded travellers who can show me their world, introduce me to new foods, music, culture etc etc. I've travelled in the past but have never tried Couchsurfing so I figured this would be the best time to do it.
