Currently studying Traditional Mandarin in Taiwan!

I grew up in a suburb of San Diego called Santee.

I was infected with the travel bug from an early age. I grew up going on road trips with my dad and brother. At time of writing I have been to 37 states. In my adult life I've traveled to 13 countries [so far :)]

I spent ba year living in New Zealand and a year in Australia. Currently studying Mandarin in Taiwan

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I like to meet people who live where I'm traveling. I'm more interested in experience over sight seeing.

=Travel (obviously) - I like road trips, I love flying, and I love hiking and camping
=Farming - I'm interested in permaculture, organic farming, gardening. I enjoy spending time taking care of farm animals.
=Rewilding - conservation of wild areas
=Radical Politics
=I like to watch movies when I procrastinate

I listen to all kinds of music.

Some music that has been really important to me in my life is, Rage Against the Machine, The Coup, Michael Franti, Netsky, Iggy Pop, Grateful Dead, the Blue Scholars, Isreal Vibration, The XX, Janis Joplin, Modest Mouse 🐀, Surf Curse.

My favorite of all time is probably Forest Gump. My favorite movies right now are Beast of the Southern Wild, Prince Avalanche, Our Idiot Brother, The Kings of Summer, Swiss Army Man.

The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey is my favorite book. 🔧 I'm reading Harry Potter series for the first time.

I got deported once.

I studied abroad for a semester at National Taiwan University in Taipei! (2015)

I traveled to Cuba via Mexico before it was legal for Americans ;)
