CURRENT MISSION
To go for more strolls...they're wonderful
ABOUT ME
Well, most of all: I love to travel! (Which I'm guessing is not very original on this site...)
I was born in Turkey to a Turkish father and a Montrealer mother (of Irish-Italian origin) and came back when I was just a baby. As amazing as Montreal is, I find that all the time I spend home I tend to not appreciate the city for what it is, because I'm saving to go on the next amazing trip. Also, I don't enjoy one-week trips - I prefer to go to a region and truly LIVE it. Take the back streets. Do groceries. Go nowhere in particular but really feel what the vibe of the place is like!
I'm currently working and living the crazy life in Poland, with an amazing group of people that have quickly become my expat family. We're always out enjoying life and are a big group that always has people visiting, so if you happen to be in Wroclaw and are willing to meet new people, you'd fit in more than perfectly!
PHILOSOPHY
Live, laugh, and love.
And most of all: have no regrets. Just go out and do whatever it is you're thinking of doing. Even if it turns out bad, you never have to say, "what if?".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It is actually my first time couch surfing!!
I am really excited about it, but also worried that it'll be difficult to be able to stay with anyone, since I don't have anybody to vouch for me.
Hopefully, once I am abroad and set up I'll be able to meet others coming into which ever city I find myself in and (if I have amazing roommates, as I hope to find) I'll be able to offer up a couch or some means of sleeping.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
To be seen, in the next few weeks/months :)
Interests
I like to travel, obviously.
Reading, cooking, meeting new people.
Waking up early and reading the newspaper over a great cup of coffee.
Going out to dance (like a fool, at unpretentious clubs, as there are in Montreal).
Cava/bubbly wine (my drink of choice, which sometimes feels ridiculous opening in public...but you only live once right? so have what you love!)
Sunshine or thunderstorms (in-between is less interesting)

Music, Movies, and Books
anything laid back, that doesn't take itself too seriously, that makes you think about your perspectives without imposing on your own beliefs
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I slept in nomad tents in the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert (nowadays it's a rather touristic thing to do but...it still blew my mind)
Teach, Learn, Share
The problem with me is that I seem to have ADD when it comes to hobbies - I start many, and finish just about none. So I can teach you quite a few things, just not too in-depth :)
I've taken piano, clarinet, saxophone and drum lessons. I've gone to art camp (but art is really expression, who needs help with that?). I've done salsa, tango, rumba, rock n roll dancing, with some jazz ballet, tap dance, hip hop and cheerleading. And some belly dancing! I recently began sewing lessons and have some pretty good basics under my belt. I'm rather good at cooking and baking.
I'm always looking to learn some more cooking recipes/techniques, and my latest is to begin sewing but to create my own garments. I also want to get into Flamenco dancing.
Also, if you can contribute to helping me finish any of the things above (along with any of my incomplete languages), I would love to get ahead on those as well.
