ABOUT ME
"Mitchell is a frustrated, fussy, and high strung fellow. If he isn't speaking to you, it's because he doesn't think you're capable of holding a decent conversation with him. If he is speaking to you, he will be a backed up geyser of political/newmusical/futurist babble that will leave you feeling sorry for this man who goes around with such material taking so much space in his head that is alienating to his demographic" - Wanda Stocks
PHILOSOPHY
One must remember and accept the possibility of death at every corner in order to truly appreciate life.
Interests
I like to play the piano. My favorite composers to play are: Domenico Scarlatti, W.A. Mozart, Erik Satie, Claude Debussy, Frederic Chopin, Alexander Scriabin, Bela Bartok, John Cage, Morton Feldman, Toru Takemitsu, Olivier Messiaen, Lou Harrison, Philip Glass, Hans Otte, Galina Ustvolskaya, Tom Johnson, Gavin Bryars, John Tavener, Arvo Part, Erling Wold, Kyle Gann, and many others.
I'm constantly learning about new music. As I type this, I'm in a Matthew Welch and Tristan Perich frenzy (frenzies come and go every month or so). Il faut être absolument moderne, as the poet said. I like to try and stay current on the art movements of our time.
I'd also like to become a certified tea master.
