I traded my place in the world for the world.

Several years ago I was hurt on the job. After the recovery I spent a year sitting around. Wishing for something more. One day it just hit me. I may not have much compared to what I was used to but I had enough to travel. To see the world. I gave up my apartment and sold off everything I owned and headed out. I travel slow taking my time. Sometimes I stay in a place for months sometimes just hours. I follow my heart and trust my gut at every turn. I pick a destination only to have a direction, I rarely make it instead I find new friends and unplanned adventures along the way. Someday I will have seen every country in the world... will I stop and find roots than.?. Probably not 😏

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I volunteered in Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria. I spent a couple months sleeping in a hammock on the beach, slept in a Jungle for awhile. But most importantly I really got to know the locals. To learn what it is to be Puerto Rican. It’s how I ended up with the nickname Alaska Rican. Puerto Rico will always have a very special place in my heart.
