ABOUT ME

I am a pretty laid back guy that is content to live for the little things. I like to laugh and love to make people laugh even more. I love good food, good beer, and even better friends. I think people don't sit down and talk enough. That is probably my favorite thing to do with my friends, sit down at a nice beach, make a camp fire, and talk the night away.

PHILOSOPHY

What the hell do I know?! Not a lot that's for damn sure! There are very little absolutes in life, so I try to keep an open mind and see things from other people's perspective. I have been known to have a temper if I feel one of my own has been mistreated, but it's never been a problem.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just learned about this site when my roommate/good friend informed me we would have a guest from the Virgin Islands. I can only imagine that her experience with us has been pleasant and it seems like a great way to meet people and see the world. Since I have met many others who are members amongst my South Asian adventures. I hope they come to Alaska!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My very favorite experiences have all taken place outside. I live in Alaska and it's a really great place to put your problems in perspective. Everything is so big that it just makes you and your problems seem smaller. I remember canoeing the Yukon River with my father a few years back and it was the best trip of my life. Napping on the river, fishing, talking. We really bonded.

Interests

I can talk endlessly about Film and Television...though I have been trying to cut down on my media intake. I love the outdoors and exploring. I like food, beer, and other green things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love comedy movies the most, but I watch anything and everything. I try to stay away from movies that depress me though, but they even have a time and place. Recent Favorites: Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, The Man From Earth, Moon, Tron Legacy, Zombieland.

Books: I love to read. I mostly read things that have a strong narrative because they hold my interest more, but I also enjoy non fiction as well. Recent Favorites: A Song of Ice and Fire (series) by George R.R. Martin, Do Androids Dream of Electronic Sheep? by Philip K. Dick, A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick, A Man In the Castle High by Philip K. Dick, One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

I love music as well! I am currently heart broken because I have lost my entire music collection by leaving my iPhone in a cab. Recent Favorites: Ratatat, Blue Scholars, Daft Punk, Trampled by Turtles, Gorillaz, People Under the Stairs.

Television: ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT IS THE BEST SHOW EVER MADE.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I mentioned this before but I think canoeing the Yukon River was pretty bad ass.
