I work in marketing and communications and previously worked as a local reporter. My husband and I have a small design business as well. And I embroider tedious pet portraits very slowly.
I grew up along the west coast in California and Oregon, attended college in the Willamette Valley and spent a year abroad in Germany. After college I moved up to Juneau and discovered what home felt like. I celebrated my 10th Juneauversary in May 2017.

I have had some great experiences hosting and a limited number of experiences surfing, which were very positive. I think it's great to encourage and enable people to travel by providing more affordable accommodations. It's also a great way to meet new people and lear new things.
