Overview
About Me
My family and I just moved to Nome, and we’d love to host travelers in our new home. We have two daughters (ages 9 and 7) and an extensive animal family... 9 dogs and a cat, for now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet humans! I'd like to skip the superficial stuff and be genuine. Part of the importance of traveling is getting to know the people.
Interests
Everything outdoors. Backpacking, farming, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, skiing, hiking, swimming, mushing dogs. I also love live music, dancing, and playing games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some of my favorite travels:
Moved to Alaska when I was 18 after a lifetime of dreaming about it.
Cycled from southern Wales to Scotland in January with a baby.
Traveled in Israel for 10 days.
Spent 3 weeks horse packing through Wyoming.
Teach, Learn, Share
We have a sled dog team! We are also always up for going on adventures--backpacking, river trips, cycling...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good conversations, stories from my travels, a different perspective, and a sense of humor. I also enjoy cooking, caring for animals, and gardening if you have a need any help with that while I am staying with you.
