Hi! I'm Alastair, originally from Gibraltar (It's an awesome place) and now live in Edinburgh, Scotland. Recently finished university and decided to see as much of the world as I can before I (try) to get myself a graduate job.
I love all things sport and can pretty much appreciate watching any sport, I do have a particular passion for cricket, football (or soccer, if you must) and tennis, and i'm also partial to a bit of ultimate frisbee and always carry a frisbee with me on my travels.
I have a real passion for learning about and experiencing different cultures and ways of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to properly see a new place is with a little help from a local, whether its advice about where to get the best food in town or secret spots that I would have missed had I just relied on travel guides. I have also found on my travels so far that is the the people you meet and the stories you hear that often stick in my mind a lot longer than any experience.

Various tales of my life so far, my experiences growing up in Gibraltar, a place few people have even heard of let alone visited. And other tales of my travel experience so far, I also enjoy discussions of current world events and politics. I'll also happily share a box of goon with anyone and talk about anything, meaningfull or downright silly well into the small hours.
