About Me

I am a 24 year old Scottish guy making his way around Germany.
I'm quite polite, very tidy, sometimes funny and often hungry.
I am happy to cook for you if you would like, but I don't tend to follow any real recipe and just end up using whatever is close at hand.
I feel that the friendships you make through couch surfing are more meaningful than brief hostel encounters which is a main reason for doing this!
My aim when I came here was to improve my German language skills and I feel that I can get a better experience by starting with locals rather than hostel hopping for the whole time.
I'm always keen to sample one (or more) of your cities local beers and still find it hard to say no to a party.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Clichéd, but it's the best way to actually integrate with a culture and see how normal people live.
My aim for Germany is to improve my language skills so I don't need to use English all the time, so staying with locals is the best idea I can think of.
When I move back to Scotland I would love to have people come stay with me as I feel that Glasgow can be a daunting city of you don't know it slightly, I would be really happy to show people the sights and also give recommendations for the rest of Scotland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to teach English to anyone who wants to practice
I have been in the Scouts for 10 years and I know a lot about bush-craft and survival skills.
I have been traveling on and off for a few years now so I have several talks that I would be more than happy to tell you, to offer you advice on where you can go next.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to do some chores and act more like a flat mate rather than a hotel guest.
I am a decent cook and would be happy to make you a meal or even better if we could make something together and teach one another our skills.
I really enjoy cinema and would be happy to sit down and watch anything from a Hollywood blockbuster to a low key indie film.
