About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Mission objective evokes ideas of corporate speak and ambition. Not that I lack drive, but I'm more cognizant of the goalposts constantly shifting. Currently, to tread lightly and ask more questions.
ABOUT ME
I love to cook, and enjoy finding new ingredients and exploring new cooking styles. Mostly recently, after living in Shanghai, I have delved into sichuanese cooking. I love the spice, and the complexity of flavour, and perhaps the long preparation and organization that results in producing a 5 course feast in 15 minutes of actual cooking. I also enjoy beer, the drinking and the making, and am part of beer co-op of sorts in London. Part art, part science, generally delicious. I like reading, exploring, and solitude at times. A favorite past time is sitting on my front stoop reading, enjoying the sunshine, watching my small vegetable garden and hailing neighbors.
PHILOSOPHY
Yesterday was a good day, today will be what it is, and tomorrow will perhaps be even better?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a new member. I heard about CS from a customer once while I was working at an outdoor store and thought it sounded like a great idea. Then I was reminded of it recently at a conference on urban agriculture in Detroit, and decided to look into it further. For now, I hope to surf, but once I move into a slightly larger apartment with a couch, it will be open to anyone who has reason to visit London, Ontario.
