About Me
Hola! Nice to meeting you! I am a naval architect from Turkey.
Since we met with my husband a year ago, we had been dreaming an epic South American backpacking tour. First we got married, we quitted our jobs, i sold my bike, we emptied our house, packed to 10kg backpacks, got on the road. We married on May 28, and did all of those above in 2 weeks!
We started our journey in Buenos Aires/ Argentina on June 17, and in 40 weeks we travelled Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala.
Back in our country, we were white collar workers. We left our jobs and We promised each other not to go back to our old life. Before starting a new life, we need a gap. To recover years of tiredness from overworking, we need to get away as much as we can while still young. Instead of going a classic ( and probably very boring) Maldives honeymoon, we prefer to discover Latin America.
We don’t have a specific itinerary, or plan, we don’t know where to sleep next day, we don’t have millions, we don’t speak Spanish (yet:), we din’t have a return ticket but we have many opportunities to enjoy our lives and we are enjoying every moment of it! From the moment we put this idea in our minds, we always believed that good things would happen and it always did.
We would like to make new friendships, experience the daily life, hang out like locals does, connect with people, hear what they say, listen to what is going on in the country from locals rather than biased media outlets. We don't want to be like tourists who left without leaving any impression or without touching any local. We love to share & care.
we're new around here so we don't have many references. but if you agree to host us, we can promise you lots of laughter and good friendship.
