About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm optimistic and determined! I'm open minded and I love finding out about other people's experiences and thoughts. I'm originally from the south of Spain, I moved to study in Edinburgh for university and recently spent a year on exchange in California and just visited India. Some of the people met along the way have been really amazing and they alone are enough to give me faith in humanity.

PHILOSOPHY

As a good friend put it, we all have the right to walk away, anytime. El derecho a marcharse. It's not about exerting that right - it's about knowing it exists.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live in student accommodation and have a roommate - so no space here, but I'm happy to meet for coffee and a chat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great experiences couchsurfing in California and the East Coast - this is a wonderful community!

Interests

I'm a city-lover, including everything that cities can offer, and I'm biased towards chaotic spaces like street markets or overpopulated cities. I am fascinated by people and how they live - my ultimate challenge is to know I can adapt to a new place & people and eventually make it my own - that's largely why I look to travel and live around. I love the seaside, understanding why things are how they are, bachata/salsa/other latin dances, yoga, warm weather (possibly developed by long exposure to Scottish weather...). I like reading and find languages very interesting because I think they shape thinking, and I've always been interested in science - hence why I study engineering.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books always first: Tolstoi, Murakami, Amelie Nothomb and dozens of others. I have a thing for live opera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wandering around NYC for a month without any purpose, because I would. And almost successfully passing as Indian... in India.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always happy to spread the love of Spanish food - if you've never tried tortilla de patatas, you're in for a treat ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
