Hello everyone! I'm Alba and I come from Spain.
I'm 26 years old and I had been in Netherlands as a Au Pair for one and a half year.
I studied social education at the University in Madrid, Seville and Coruña (all cities in Spain). When I finished, I decided that it was a good time to go abroad to learn English and add some experience.
Now, I live in Granada (Spain) with Fran, my couple. We met in the Environment education Master in Granada.
I climbing, trekking, and now I started in CrossFit to try to have a sport routine for my health.
I'm vegetarian and in my home we have a vegan diet.
I hope to know nice people here and share good moments :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my year in Netherlands, I wanted to travel alone, because I didn't meet many people around Europe, so was very nice to be with different couchsurfings :)

Always is better if someone local show you the city...its more special, and a opportunity for to be new friends.

I think this is a option to fight to the big companies, be in community, help eachother, and to share the things that you want.

Music, Movies, and Books

Every time I find new music to add to my favorites list! I really like BSO, classical music, flamenco... I really like music, I try to found new music, follow new people on Spotify. I love go to concerts, specially if is a orchestra. The lasted was in Granada, was amazing.

I always try to find some new series or movie on Netflix or prime. The latest series I've watched that I love is Greace & Frankie (love them). It would be great to know someone to recommend! I love to sex education, pose, fleabag... this year my couple introduced me in Marvel world, and I really like it. There is a little cinema in Granada, there you can see a more special and different movies. Is nice to see less comercial films sometimes.

I am now reading "Brave New World". The last book I finished is "The Angel's Game" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I loved it. My goal is to finish the triology :) but I should stop to buy more books and finish to read the books that I still have hahaha it's a problem if you have many books but always enter in the second hand library .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I like to have fun and to have my own space usually, actually.

I went alone to Ireland and I across the country with finger. Was so nice (my mom didn't know hahaha).

Many people have more interesting life, I sure, but I'm happy with the things that I made, now I'm in a relax period in my life, I have a good family in Granada so ... I hope to share my house with you soon !

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been a leisure and free time instructor. I have worked with many children and teenagers. It's a lot of fun but sometimes very hard. They teach you a lot more things than you can imagine.
I also played the clarinet for 8 years. I quit, but I have musician friends who continue to connect me with music. And my sister too !

Feminism it's important for me, I love to learn more about that, hear and share ideas with another women.
Also, it's important for me to the environment, since October I'm vegetarian, and I feel the compromise to care the planet. I try to be better all day, but sometimes I know that it's not only my responsibility, so I should be more relax with everything :) So I can to share ideas with you about this if you want !!

My transport life it's the bike. I start to used every single day in Netherlands, but Granada it's a easy city for to ridding, so me and my friend move on bike :)

I start to climbing last March, I love that, it's a nice process, because you should grow up fisically and mentally. I'm trying to be less afraid, mountain it's bigger than you hehe. But I'm learning to be better and I'm feel really good with my process. I love to go to the mountain too, and do trekking or sleep outside. Here in Granada there are a lot of options, all days I found new wild or natural plans to do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer Spanish, Spanish food (my Dutch family loves the Spanish omelette), conversation, walks, we can go to a some concert, go to climbing or with the bike... It will be a pleasure to share time in your city :)
