Hola! My name is Alba and I’m from Barcelona. Last July I graduated from uni (I studied Biology) and this autumn 2019 I will start my gap year adventure travelling as much as I can around Europe and Asia. This trip will take me to the UK (October - December) the Netherlands (December - January) and finally to South East Asia (January - April).
I’d like to immerse myself in the community of the places I visit and that’s why I’ll be WWOOFING and Couchsurfing. I’d like to know about you and the region you live in :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked England from East to West while walking the Hadrian’s Wall Path.

Traveled around Madagascar for 45 days. I met amazing people (locals and tourists from all over the world), dove in the coral reefs, got stolen during the first night, spent 26 hours in a taxi-brousse to cross the country and many more great adventures that can only happen when traveling!

I lived in Iceland for 7 months while I was conducting my bachelor’s thesis on extreme microbes. Witnessed the northern lights while taking a bath in a hot spring, did groceries while there was this crazy snowstorm going on (I do not recommend this) and experienced the amazing Icelandic nature.
