About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spiritual growth!

ABOUT ME

So I come from Northwest Spain but have been living somewhere else for a while now. I've lived in the US for a year, then back to Spain, then in the UK, and now I find myself living in Germany although I have the feeling this is not the last stop on my way... I love travelling and have done my fare share of travelling and have a restless heart that keeps pushing me to change and move around in often unexpected directions. I find life challenging and interesting, and exciting, and nerve-wrecking, and ultimately impossible to decipher. And I think that here is some real beauty in that.
Being less poetic :) I love science fiction cinema and TV shows, literature, writing, and foreign languages; I also enjoy sports, leisured walking, dogs, relaxed hikes, talking to strangers about life, and enjoy the outdoors in general. I am the talkative type and can get into deep conversation about pretty much anything. With a beer or a coffee, I'm a great companion!
I am genuinely interested in meeting new people and learning stuff from them, and I am often surprised about how different people can be, and how incredibly different people's lives are. I love trying out new things, and I guess that at the moment I'm on a mission to find myself by getting out my comfort zone and being more mindful of others ––which, for someone like me, is sometimes anincredibly difficult thing to do unto itself.

PHILOSOPHY

live and let live, and breatheeeee

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I haven't been the most active of couchsurfers, nor have I ever couched anybody yet. But I've only had the means to couch somebody since relatively recently really…
I've only being hosted twice; but I found the experience truly fun and interesting, met really nice apeople, and think it's worth to keep doing it for as long as I live because I truly believe in the philosophy of the couch surfing experience.

Interests

I'm the truly eclectic type, and my preference for things changes with time and with the weather :). But I generally love foreign languages and cultures, beautiful landscapes, rollerblading, sunsets, different people, tortilla de patatas, the sea, Radiohead, winters in coastal areas, music festivals, walking on docks, second-hand markets, pictures of empty benches, reading, loooove dogs, science fiction, my family, people-watching, and home-baked bread!

Music, Movies, and Books

I hate listing just to list… but sci-fi and thrillers; speculative fiction novels; anything played acoustic, really; alternative/indie rock bands… and anything played live, be it music, poetry, a theatre play...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd like to say that finishing my PhD dissertation, but I still have to finish that!! But I think that by the time I finish, it'll probably be a truly very AMAZING thing I've done!! In the meantime, the most amazing thing I've done is keep having hope on the future and on people, and on our own ability to grow and become better with time.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is a tough one… Because I am no professional at any particular trade, but, I can share my knowledge of Spanish and English with anybody interested in practising the language, I can knit a winter beanie or build a wooden desk. I'm great at sowing and stitching and fixing broken things, and also at crafts in general. I can cook pretty damn well; I can sing, but I'm no pro; have a good (and kind) ear and can listen very well, and can simply share my joie de vivre with anybody interested!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation and some Spanish cooking if they want!
