Overview
About Me
Once I stopped to look at the shelves of my house with all the books that I have been acquiring throughout my life and I realized that all those books can be classified into several themes and that each theme tells a piece of me.
And these are:
1. Cookbooks; cookbooks, macrobiotic food books or healthy combination of food, urban garden and how to grow your own vegetables in the city, etc.
2. Travel books; from guides, dictionaries in other languages, books of museums, booklets, maps to scale of some zone or country, novels on trips, autobiographies of real trips, etc.
3. History books of art, art and design; books on architects, on Greek mythology, roman, books on interior design, furniture books, etc.
4. Books on philosophy; history of philosophy, philosophy of the twentieth century, oriental philosophies, the Dalai Lama, on meditation, yoga, tantra, Tao, Kybalion, IChing, A Course in Miracles, Enric Corbera, Sesha, etc.
5. Books on psychology; the Enneagram, Claudio Naranjo, Gurdjieff, etc.
6. And to finish novels. The ones I liked the most are adventure, travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Now I travel around the world and my dream is to go around on foot. :)) I do not know what will happen, but I want to try.
I love the couchsurfing platform because it allows you to know a lot of local people, who tell you about the place where you go that you otherwise do not know.
I love traveling and meeting new people and I think a trip if shared makes much more sense and brings much more happiness.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: the one that makes you wake up, that gives a meaning to your life.
Movies: those that do not leave you indifferent and make you think. Go, those that go a little further with the argument: Matrix, the Truman show, Inception, Enemy, The Shutter Island, Memento, The Atlas of the clouds, Coherence, Triangle, Mr Nobody, The peaceful warrior.
Novel: The voices of the desert, Los renglones torcidos de Dios, Iacobus, all of Milan Kundera's books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A lot of things!!! :D
1. Being at the right time in a Driving Night Safari in Zambia and watching live as a Leopard hunted an Impala and, after the effort, would climb it to a tree to protect its food from the hyenas.
2. Swim in the Devil's Pool at Victoria Falls in Zambia and then fly over this wonderful enclave by helicopter.
3. Diving among colorful dwarf fish in Cuba while they came to nibble me and play with me. : D
4. Contemplate the night sky with its 25,000 million stars that could be seen with the naked eye in the best observatory in the southern hemisphere, in New Zealand. If you want to go look on your website: "Earth and Sky"!
5. Climb the Coll del Contraix, a mountain neck in the Catalan Pyrenees at 2,790m. The feat is to overcome the vertigo that I had after 4 hours of climbing by huge stones. : D
6. Incredible walk and overcome 83 km in a row with mountain slopes in a "race" in which the challenge is to get them done in less than 24 hours! And we did it! This adventure was lucky to share it with my father.
7. All the roads of Santiago that I have made. Each one is special in itself.
What I Can Share with Hosts
For example, I can prepare something to eat, what do you think of a Spanich omelet for dinner? :) Or I teach you how to prepare it so that you incorporate it in your recipes.
We can talk about many topics, for example, travel, nature, customs ... You can tell me a lot about the country where you live, the city or the town. I also enjoy the stories, stories or myths of each town and above all I love family stories. : D
Ah! And about me: I am a careful person with the things of others, clean and orderly.
