About Me

Hi! I am Alba, I am a biologist, actually doing my PhD in Santiago de Compostela 👩‍🔬📚🧬🔬
I love to discover in general: new cultures, new people, new places, histories, new experiences, the explanation of something (scientifically, historically...).

Right now, I am doing my PhD stay for three months in Umea.

Unfortunately, on this period I can not host because right I have not extra space and even more important, I do not have time to share, to enjoy the company and offer my best to people :(

The best thing it can happen to you is to go to a place as a tourist and come back home with friends that you can also feel like family, a lot of experiences and adventures and of course some local food!

I consider myself talkative, active, funny and open-minded person. I like to debate, exchange opinions and histories.
I want to be like I would like people to behave to me, so I like to help people (as well as sometimes I need it).

🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍

I want to keep having wonderful experiences traveling and share it with people. You can always learn something new from other people and other cultures and I think that is amazing! 🥰🧳

So I like to be open and honest and be myself with people, so I kindly ask for respect in general, especially if a girl is traveling alone and is clear about not use this as tinder (most people that I met by here were awesome but there were some cases that don't let you feel comfortable) (sorry for this paragraph).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling, discovering people, places, and diversity can be really challenging, enriching and empowering (as well as funny of course).

I love to travel volunteering and doing projects because for me is the best way to know people, discover a country and have incredible experiences. It has reported me the best experiences of my life and brought me amazing friends around the world.

After knowing about CS and all the interesting people that are around the world, the experiences that we can create and share, it would really be a pity to go to a hotel and to refuse that experience, so couchsourfing is the best option to combine my objectives and have a real experience! As well as allow me to travel with my own money (I am student so not that much so far).

I met with some couchsurfers a couple times during that adventures (to also visit the city), so I hosted people, I have been hosted and I also just met people to discover a place and we really enjoy our time together :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Enviromental workcamp in Netherland and renovation one in Czech Republic. Youth exchanges in Romania, Hungary, Bologna, Slovenia, Sweden and Athens. Thanks to that experiences I learned to travell alone, to speak english in a fluent way, to stay and enjoy an international environment, to give the best of me and to keep leaving my confort zone and challenging myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts
