About Me
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If you are browsing my profile to send me a couch request, I urge you to carefully read the information under "My Home" tab.
If you insert the pass phrase, I will know that you have read all my house rules and you agree with them. Failure might get you an unanswered decline.
I recently moved from Paris, France to Playa del Carmen, Mexico in May of 2019 because I needed vitamin Sea and vitamin Sun :)
I lived my whole life in France and I enjoyed a lot that life: I used to work as a Cybersecurity Engineer.
By now, I started a new life from scratch and I'm working on a big life project with a friend of mine here in Mexico.
I had the chance to be raised in a double culture environment: I'm a half Mexican (thanks to my father) and a half French (guess who?).
I'm really fluent in French and Spanish. I can deal with speaking in English as well.
I have been learning Italian (for 4 years) and German (for 8 years) but I couldn't keep practicing because of my busy schedule when I was at the university. As I am now in the Riviera Maya, I would like to learn Yucatec Maya. I'm really amazed by that culture.
I like meeting new fresh people and share experiences with them. I love simple things... as simple as a picnic by the beach !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was born in a multicultural family and thanks to that I had the chance to take a plane every year to see my Mexican family.
That's why I literally love traveling and why I'm always on the go. I know a world is waiting for me outside and I don't want to miss it.
I want to be part of another way of traveling where everyone can afford a journey without spending too much.
Actually, in this journey of life we all have the same final destination. No matter who you are or how wealthy you are: we won't bring our belongings but only our memories.
For me travel is about making these amazing memories: discover countries, learn history, meeting people, making friends, know other cultures and habits.
That's my mission in Couchsurfing: help you to have a great experience in Mexico if you come to see me or share mine if I visit you.
Interests
I have a passion for photography, filming and video editing, that's why I am working hard to transform that passion in a full-time job :) There's no better place than the Riviera Maya to get amazing shots
I'm keen on singing, dancing, hangin out with friends and I want to keep doing so... in the Caribbean!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is essential in my life and as a passionate of video editing it is like soundtrack for every moment I experience.
My favorite genres are: Rock, Punk Rock, Pop, Latin and Tropical House but I also listen to Rap, R&B, Electronic...
If it sounds good no matter what kind of music it is :)
I used to listen every day to EELS but when you abuse of something you always end up by getting bored ahaha.
Nowadays I listen to: Blink-182 (reminds me High School), +44, Work Drugs, Matisyahu, Satellite Stories, M83...
I'm keen on Post Rock music as well because it brings kind of nostalgic feeling with happiness at the same time. It helps me to sleep though...
I don't like fantastic or Sci-Fi movies with super-heroes and super-power. I have the sensation there will always be a happy end... I cannot find any value spending 1:30 hours to 2:30 hours watching predictable film.
I prefer thrillers, historic and some action films.
I love the James Bond saga and Mission Impossible.
For a long time my favorite movie was Amélie (Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain) and now it is... I forgot the name (will edit it later :-P).
I don't read a lot of novels or short stories but I read a lot of course and personal development books.
The one which changed my life is the well-know "The 4-Hour Workweek" by Tim Ferriss.
Before reading it I was certain I needed another way of life than the basic 9 to 5. This one convinced me that I had to pursue my goals and start to make plans in order to reach them :)
My favorite novel is : Things the Grandchildren Should Know by Mark Oliver Everett A.K.A. Mr E from EELS.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I finished Engineering school in 2015 I decided to take a break and I traveled in America and Eastern Europe. I started a YouTube channel and Facebook page where I share films of my journeys.
Through these videos I tell the history of places I visit, show the activities and the accommodations I stayed :
