Overview
About Me
I'm a selective traveler, in that I don't just travel for the travel itself. I travel to see the "uncharted territories" of a place, because visiting touristy destinations is so mainstream :)
Now I'm teaching Indonesian language in Egypt until next month, and I'm excited to meet local couchsurfers who might wanna share cultural and linguistic insights with me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because my friend told me wonderful things about couchsurfing: the people, the experience he had with a host, and the possibilities of widening my traveling networks.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love a wide range of music genres. So wide indeed that I'm truly an eclectic music listener: Omm Kalthoum, Amr Diab, Nirvana, U2, Oasis, Classical Musics, and EDM.
For movies, I don't have particular genres in mind, but I usually watch action, thriller, drama, comedy, and whatever that is good :)
As for books, I don't read much recently, but if do, I usually go for novels (I'm now reading Naguib Mahfouz).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I finished my masters degree in the field that is totally different from that of my bachelor degree!
I did a bachelor degree in law, but I successfully finished my masters degree in educational research, evaluation and assessment! I never knew that I would change my life direction so drastically.
I did my masters degree in Flinders University, South Australia, a wonderful two years time very well spent!
Teach, Learn, Share
For every stranger I meet, I believe he/she has the bright side that will shine once we get to know each other well...
