I'm Albert, a geography student living in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
I have been registered on CS for three years now and get a feeling that
I should pay this wondefull community another visit, so to speak. This year
I'm planning to do so on a longer trip to france between Mid-August and Mid-September.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I was first hooked by the Idea after reading the books of Stephan Orth, a German journalist and long-time Couchsurfer, about his journeys through somewhat (mainly politically) unpopular countries such as Iran, Saudi-Arabia, Russia and China. Then I went on a couple of trips to somewhat (generally) unpopular cities in Germany such as Cottbus and Dortmund where I considered studying, to get authentic insights.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Once as a kid I lost a bus that would only come again in two hours in the middle of nowhere and complained.
An old Lady came up to me, looked me in the eye and said: "Nothing really bad will ever happen to you."
I try to remember it often.
