Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the past I've used this platform to meet new people and explore new cities. This time I'm looking for a helping hand while i transition into a new State and city. Im in the process of moving to Chicago and I am having difficulty finding a new apartment and could really use a couch for a few days or weeks while i get my housing in order. I'm a professional baker (Pastry chef) by trade and I recently got offered a job at Lost Larson in Chicago. Ill be completely new to the city and in dire need of friends or just people to go site seeing with. I'm hoping to at the very least meet some cool people on here who i could be friends with.
