I'm a German, currently studying at UWM in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have just recently started to travel as me being abroad kind of forced me to seize the opportunity. During this winter break, I was travelling the east coast of the US with some friends and because I liked it so much I intend to travel the west coast, i.e. California, during the summer. However, as people say that travelling alone broadens the mind, I embark on a solo trip in the summer.
In my free time, I like to read (from popular psychology to fiction I like to read a lot of things really), swim and watch TV shows and movies (the shows and movies I like to watch are as diverse as my interest in books is).

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am on Couchsurfing because it was recommended to me by a friend who has traveled the world using it. Since I am about to travel solo this time, I thought I give it a try as it also gives me the opportunity to meet local people which is something I have missed while traveling in a group.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music: I like to listen to a variety of different music styles. Here's just a bunch of artists I enjoy to express how diverse my taste in music is: Sum41, Blink182, Taylor Swift, Eminem, Bushido, Alan Walker, Sean Paul, Steve Aoki, Sia, Shawn Mendes.

Movies: My current favorites are La La Land, Inception, The Guardian (2006). But I also enjoy more action-based (and super unrealistic) movies like the Fast&Furious Franchise. I just wouldn't call them my favorite.

TV Shows: My all-time favorite TV show is definitely Burn Notice. However, here's a small excerpt of shows I also like to watch: Psych, The Mentalist, Suits, The Blacklist, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, NCIS:LA, Sherlock.

Books: My favorite book is "Stumbling on Happiness" by Daniel Gilbert. I do enjoy the Dan Brown novels as well. My favorite Dan Brown book is "Demons & Angels".

As a volunteer firefighter in Germany, I have helped save lives and I have also been in a burning building.
