About Me

Hello! I'm Albert from Barcelona, nice to meet you :)

My passions are travelling, engineering and Rock music.

Some random facts about me: I have never been outside of Europe, My favorite drink is beer and my favorite food it's pasta with Carbonara (I love italian food), I have never been in Italy (yet) although I speak Italian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because some friends have talked me about it and the experience sounds awesome!

Interests

TRAVELING
I started traveling by my own recently, before that I had only traveled with family and wasn't really interested in it. When I started travelling on my own, it became my passion.

This summer I did a trip around the Balcans being for more than a month outside of home, it sounded scary at first but it was awesome, I was really lucky meeting amazing people on my way.

ENGINEERING
I studied industrial engineering and now I'm working at a fiber optic cable factory as a product engineer. I love building new things and learning stuff on the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is Rock and everything related to it but I enjoy any kind of music.
I'm not a fan of movies, I rarely watch TV :O
I like books that make you think or teach you new things, one book I really liked is 1984 because it made me realize that not everything you see or feel is real (listen to There, There by Radiohead :D)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was not me who did the amazing thing, but this made me love travelling because you never know what can happen. I was travelling to Sofia, it was my first time taking a plane alone and I had a month of travelling ahead of me. The plane landed around 2 or 3 am in Sofia and I had no Bulgarian money, I thought there would be something open to change money but there wasn't, they opened at 8 am. Then I met a guy at the bus station who paid my ticket for the bus, and that made me realize how amazing is traveling, you never know what can happen, you can be siting next to the most awesome people in the world any time and not realize it!

Teach, Learn, Share

Actually I was a math teacher at my university while I was a student :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a lot of traveling stories (and not travel also), I can cook some Spanish and Italian food, but cooking is not my specialty :P

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, United Kingdom
