ABOUT ME

Like Oscar Wilde, I believe life is too important to be taken seriously. I enjoy trying new things and have yet to settle on a job that will become a career since I enjoy every opportunity to do something different. Ive gotten to be a sailor/educator on a historic tall ship and have biked across the country to learn more about myself (that being said I still struggled to adequately describe myself). Overall, I tend to be a large and jovial person that simultaneously loves spontaneous trips and being boring by reading at home

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have little couchsurfing experience but I use Warmshowers.org (a similar site for travelling cyclists) quite a bit. I have hosted 3 cyclists with that and stayed with about 10 people across the country.

Interests

I have recently gotten into mountain biking. I enjoy night photography and making timelapse videos. My favorite activity is a bonfire with friends though.

I heart hucklebees and Forgetting Sarah Marshal are my two favorite movies. My favorite bands are Explosions in the sky, the Avett Brothers, a guilty pleasure of Imagine Dragons and a lot of indie things and such....

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I know a lot about historic sailboat maintenance and some sailor skills like splicing, whipping, and some knots. I also know a lot about freshwater ecology and the state of the Chesapeake Bay. That's about it. Oh I suppose 40 percent of the time I can put a bicycle together.
