About Me

I love exploring nature, cuisine, cultures, and history. Couchsurfing offers a great opportunity to explore these not matter I am travelling myself or hosting guests.
Currently, I am wrapping up my PhD studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam. My studies revolve around investigating human cooperation and competition.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to surf when I travel, but I also would like to be a welcoming hosts in Rotterdam (NL). I have already hosted a few guests and I really liked the experience! I think couchsurfing is a great way to form true connections between people with a different background!

Interests

My interests span from sports to history and politics. I love learning about history, political and social issues, and about people in general. As a way to find balance in life, I try to do sports regularly (preferable with friends). Biking as almost like a religion to me: there is no day without it! Though, for me, it mostly serves a functional purpuse. Also, I go bouldering and play squash regularly + I am open to other sporty activities as well. Finally, I love games. I have a nice collection of boardgames. Don't worry, monopoly is not part of them!;) Games offer much more than just throwing dice and going in circles!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a casual movie and book consumer. Regarding movies, my all time favorite movies are The Shawshank Redemption, Fight club and Shutter Island. Recently, I really liked Knives out, Parasite and Marriage story. In terms of written stories, I mostly like shorter ones. I am really fond of Hemingway and some Hungarian authors (Móricz, etc.).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have participated in the CEMS UNFCC climate change conference simulation as Adaptation chair. The event lasted for around 3 days with more than 100 participants. It though me the difficulties of finding a compromise when there are numerous parties with a wide range of interests. Also, I have learned a lot about the various impacts of climate change on both the people and the environment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very much interested in politics and history, both Hungarian and international. With this knowledge, the discovery of foreign countries and cultures becomes more meaningful and memorable.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to share my experience regarding my travels, studies, history, politics, sports/fitness, cooking, or life in general.
