About Me

Hi,

my name is Alberto, I am Italian and I live in Stanford, where I am doing a PhD in Italian Literature.

I am very committed in what I do - I do believe that literature, and especially poetry, has a fundamental role in our own life and society. So, I am interested in all kind of literature and cultures, and I am trying to learn as many languages as possible so that I can understand and appreciate more both the literature and cultures I am studying (at the moment, British-American, French, German, Latin, and ancient Greek literature).

I love watching movies and tv show, listening to music (I am a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen), going to theater and opera, but I like as well going out with my friends in a pub!

I am friendly and open to any cultures! I think that differentiality and alterity make our life better and more complete. That's why I decided to come to US, a unique place where you can meet up so many different people.

Finally, my biggest love is my rabbit, Cotton-tail <3 I will try to upload a picture of his so that you can appreciate his beauty :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite singer is Francesco Guccini, an Italian songwriter who is a kind of a poet.

My favorite book...that is complicated. I would say Eugenio Montale's "Le occasioni", a collection of poem published in 1939.
