Overview
About Me
Ciao stranger! Little bit of bio: my existence (until 8/2017 at least...) hase been quite normal. I grew up between București and the Italian north shore, spent there awesome teenage years (aaah the summer, the motorbikes, the friend and the first heartbreak on the beach...) and went to university: studied Economics in Milan and Statistics in St Andrews, Scotland. In the middle, I also spent a semester in London, ON, Canada (Go Maple Leafs!). Worked in Edinburgh for about a year and now moving back home (yep, I was lucky enough to find a job in Italy).
"We wanna meet your true soul!!" Ok, ok hang on. So about my interests:
I like to travel (you wouldn't have guessed, would you?), playing sports especially swimming, skying and skydiving. I'm also practicing climbing but pretty a noob now. I absolutely love cooking and, I admit, discovering new stuff about human knowledge (from math to history the important thing is: it must be cool).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new & awesome people!! Yeah I know. Kinda cliché, but it's true. I think that Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to travel, because it allows you to really get to know the place through the experience of living with true indigenous people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite books & movies: "Memoirs of Hadrian" by Yourcenar - It reminds me that life is neither happy nor sad: you can just chose a path to follow lightheartedly: either love or violence. Because at the end "pulvis et umbra sumus" (thanks Horace).
"The Great Beauty" by Sorrentino - I like it because it teaches that emptiness of meaning and true relationships is the only thing we, humans, should really worry during our existence.
Special mention goes to "Epigrams" by Martialis: the best laughing elixir I have ever found.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydived! The thrill of jumping from the plane is one of the most cathartic experiences I have ever had. It truly puts your life goals in perspective and it allowed me to get past a though periods in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Statistics (you know, a regression is always useful), the full olive oil production procedure and how to recognize a true extra virgin oil (not that supermarket crap), Italian language and culture and of course, how to cook a real pasta!
What I would like to learn: honestly, everything you've got to offer. Flying a dragon-shaped kite and which are the best bars in your town are examples of my thirst for knowledge.
What I Can Share with Hosts
(Hopefully) interesting life stories, lots of laughs and tons of love!
