Interests

I like to travel backpacking because I think it’s the best way to really be in touch with people: share a car, a room, a dinner, exchange stories, visit amazing places in company even “traveling alone” and be surprised by unexpected situations. I enjoy taking pictures of animals, natural places and cityscapes, eachone has its own beauty, I also like dancing Latin rhythms and learning languages: my native language is Spanish, I speak Portuguese pretty fluent, English with some mistakes and I’m studying Italian. I think that pictures, dancing and languages allow to communicate your passions, to learn from people and offer the possibility of teaching something new to others. I’m looking for a life style in which I can keep moving constantly while I’m meeting new places and people, traveling with the minimum available resources and using my abilities and knowledge to help people and to keep traveling. First I’ve decided to start by visiting Brasil and I’d like to continue towards Patagonia, but it depends on how everything is going on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like to listen music and dance. I listen several musical genres, but my favorite genres are Bachata and House, a strange combination, I know. I use to play Song Pop. This game lets you play against friends: it starts playing 5 songs and you have to choose the name’s song or singer’s song that you think it’s right . It’s very funny. I like this kind of movies in which even it’s over you continue thinking about its end, my favorite movies are: Inception, The Shutter Island, Enemy and Donnie Darko. I also like all Marvel’s movies. Although I’m not passionate about reading and I prefer going to cinema, my favorite writer is Henry Thoreau and I just started reading one of his books, Walden, it have caught me a lot, it talks about an interesting philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At first I didn’t know what to write here haha but after this last year I’m full of great stories: - I’ve sailed on the Amazon river from Leticia (Colombia) to the Atlantic Ocean (Belém, Brasil) by 9 days in hammock. - I’ve traveled from Leticia (Colombia) to São Paulo (Brasil) only by land. - I’ve made auto stop from Fortaleza to Rio de Janeiro. - I’ve camped in the mountains of Bahia for a month, drinking and cooking with the rivers water. - I’ve made a lot of hikes without guides using Wikiloc. - I’ve climbed the Pão de Açúcar mountain in Rio. - I’ve kept traveling by a year. Previous things: - Each semester at university I won a study grant due to my academic performance. - I’ve traveled around Europe, visiting 5 countries in a month, using my not really good English level.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m from a city known as The Salsa’s Capital, you can find great dancers and every year people from different countries come here to start learning Salsa or to improve at it. You will find Salsa everywhere and it has also influenced in my life. When I was younger I took Salsa lessons for one year and a half, some friends and family members say that I’m good at it haha. If you’re interested on learning Salsa I could teach you what I know. I like to dance another Latin rhythms, so it would be very nice to go dancing or share some of our experience dancing, because I also like to learn new steps. I could also teach how to do some crafts. When I was in the Guajira, Colombia, I learnt to do crafts like macramé and with mostacilla, this is very relaxing to me and the final results are very beautiful, I will share with you some pictures if you want to see those results. I’m mechanical engineer and I’m good at mathematics and physics. I gave lessons of vectorial dynamics at the University for 2 semesters. If you need some explanation about mathematics, physics and dynamics, I’ll be glad helping you. I enjoy learning languages, I would like to practice and improving my English and Italian talking with you. I’d be happy if I can help you to improve your Spanish or Portuguese. I use to share useful information about my trips on my instagram account, by this mean I can help travelers to reach their destinations and give them tips to save money. Although it’s hard to offer you my home at Cali because now I’m traveling, I would like to host you and show you the beauty of my city, when I come back.
