About Me

My name is Alberto, I was born in a city called Padova, north east of Italy in 1989. My father is a psychiatrist and my mom a French teacher, I have a little sister who's now mysteriously grown as much as to become a college student of medicine, in Italy. After graduating from high school I moved to NYC to study theater and after graduating, four years later, I felt a compelling urge to leave the city and its speed and to explore the rest of the states. I first went to Tennessee where I was welcomed and hosted by a christian family in Erwin, I did odd jobs for the church community for two weeks before I decided I was ready to start hiking the Appalachian trail toward south, I travelled by myself most of the time and, for the first time, I was able to immerse into silence and a simple way of living. It took me about 3 months to get to the trailhead in Georgia, as I was hiking with no schedule or timeline. After that I hitch hiked my way up to Colorado, through Denver, up to Estes Park, where I worked in a concrete company for a week before adventuring into crossing the Rocky mountains national Park from east to west. I arrived in a little, tiny town called Grand Lake, where I ended up finding good friends, a restaurant Job, and staying for about four months. I then moved on to visit a friend in California and after a month realized I was missing the mountains and went back to Colorado. I spent a month in Boulder where I lived with an astrologer and six wolfs. I left that house four days ago and I have been in Denver since then.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been traveling for about a year, and have been a guest in many places, without ever joining this site. I was advised to join this web community by many people and I finally decided to do it. I am currently without funds and would love to find a place to stay throughout the storm. Willing to give back anyway it's needed.

Interests

I like theater, movies, reading, skiing, hiking, playing with children, dogs, I poorly play the guitar and piano and sing. I love american comedy and stand up comedians.
I am very interested in humans, our bodies, how we function and how we interact with each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am willing to help anyway it's needed: from cleaning the house, to cooking an original Italian meal.
While in Boulder I was invited to take a workshop where I was trained to become a heart thread practitioner, it's a simple practice of human contact/meditation and I would be more than happy to share the practice and give sessions in return for hospitality.
I can entertain with travel stories and acting stories and a bunch more.
But mainly anything that is needed.
