I moved around between London and Rome growing up, then I worked in Belgium as a diplomat for four years before realising that I wanted to travel and see the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Usually when I travel I look for pretty or culturally interesting places to visit. On my forthcoming trip to the US, however, I want to do something different and spend as much time with locals as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: French rap (PNL, MMZ, Djadja et Dinaz); electronic (Bonobo, Clarian, Four Tet, Paul Kalkbrenner, Henry Saiz, Above and Beyond, Petar Dundov); trip-hop (Thievery Corporation, Nightmares on Wax); world music (Amadou and Mariam, Tinariwen, Fatoumata Diawara). Rap and Electronic music more generally, but also enjoy modern classical piano music.

Movies: My guilty pleasure is Victorian period dramas like Sense and Sensibility! Also really enjoy coming of age teen movies a la A24. Besides that I like independent dramas like Amores Perros, The Hunt (great Danish film), This Is England, La Haine, A Prophet. Shout out to About a Boy.

Books: The Remains of the Day, Down and Out in Paris and London, Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan Novels
