About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel to at least one new country every year.

PHILOSOPHY

A person should be judged by their actions and self-respect, and not by the promises they make.

I would rather attempt something great and fail, than to attempt nothing at all and succeed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would rather like to get to know new people and their cultures than check in at a hotel and be surrounded by other tourists.

Couchsurfing should not be complicated, so I don't mind if you just need a place to crash. If you stay at my place, don't feel obligated to want to hang out the entire time. During the week I am usually quite busy, but we can make dinner together and over weekends possibly go for a hike or do something touristy :)

Interests

I love taking photographs as a form of art. As a sport I do jiu-jitsu and kick boxing. Also have a big love for motorbikes and muscle cars.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love dub, dubstep, dancehall, metal, hip hop and any good song with decent bass.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited the magnificent Grand Canyon.
Snorkeling in Thailand.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH:
I can give you a quick lesson or two on photography. If you have wood and some meat then I can teach you how to braai South African style as well.

LEARN:
I would like to learn about other cultures and experience their local foods. I don't think anyone can know everything there is to know, so I am always open to learn new things that my host might know.

SHARE:
I am open to share my history and things I have seen.

When I am in South Africa and you are visiting I can also share some good hiking trails or things to do while in Cape Town. If I am not busy I will most likely join you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Help clean up where I stay, help make food and be a good guest :)

If I have my camera gear with me (which will be 99% of the time) then I can offer my host a few portrait shots or even a nice family photo!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Namibia, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In

South Africa, United States
