About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find out where I'm going sharing experiences with other peoples, and most of all... smile :)

ABOUT ME

I'm Alberto, I'm 29 years old and I live in the lovely Milan, in Italy.

I'm a very active person, and I hate to stand still and do nothing: in my spare time I'm always busy playing drums with my band, doing improvisation theater, travelling or doing outdoor activities (I'm a lot into Stand Up Paddle at the moment!). That's what keeps me alive!

What about me? I'm friendly, open minded, nice and easy going!! I love to meet new friends and to get in contact with cultures different than mine, to share funny stories and experiences!!!

In the previous years I did some extraordinary life changing experiences such as living in the USA for almost an year, backpaking in South-East Asia and working in hostels in Ireland and Greece (all the customers loved me!) and many more...you name it! These experiences really changed myself and the way I see life, and made me understand how even a short talk with a person you have just met can really give you a lot!

I'm a joyful, sunny person, I often wear a spontaneous smile and there are just few things that can bring my mood down!! I love to transmit this energy to others and make people smile! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I am constantly working to improve myself as a person and to live in the moment, enjoying the small pleasures of life.
For this reason, I try to live up to these two quotes "A day without a smile is a day lost!" and "Somos lo que hacemos para cambiar lo que somos" (= we are what we do to chance what we are)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't always host people, but I'm always available to show my city to other travellers and to give them advices!
I am always up to share different cultures and good stories while having a dinner or a drink...I love this way of meeting other people (and get to know myself better in the process).

If you would like to meet up for a tour/dinner/drink/party send me a PM!

Interests

I like reading, travelling, juggling, walking in the nature and, last but not least... music!!!

When I travel, I love to talk with people and share thoughts, experiences, food, knowledge and laugh toghether. I think that authentic, genuine sharing is fundamental!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to ANY kind of music (from jazz to latin, rock, some electronic music) to try to get theright inspiration of each one, and put it into my own way of playing and writing songs!! It is really hard for me to say my favourite band ...some are for sure Incubus, The Cat Empire, Hiatus Kayote, The Roots, Foo Fighters, Ghemon, but the list evolves every time according to my mood :) Basically as long as it is alternative, heartfelt and original music I am happy!

I like to read a lot of books (mainly novels and personal growth books) and I like also movies such as

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say "just" travelling, because I saw too many amazing things doing that!!!
I have travelled a lot in Europe, lived in USA, attended music festivals, worked in hostels to meet more people...and the list goes on!

If I have to name one, the most incredible experience I have ever had was a backpacking trip with a friends in South East Asia: we traveled with every transport possible, explored jungle-islands-cities and had a blast!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook a lot of italian dishes, and I can teach you how to do them, expecially pizza (starting from the dough!).
Also I can juggle: it's easier than you may think ;)

Last but not least, I can teach you a lot of italian gestures, that are really, REALLY useful in thousands of aspects of life ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

- So many good stories, smiles and nice time spent together!
- Authentic italian dinner (tutorial included!)
- Kindness, Reliability and respect for the other.
