About Me
Lastly I'm not having that much time for myself, and I'm moving in & out constantly to different countries for working issues.
I must say I'm not very good talking about myself, but basically I'm an easygoing, polite, respectful & friendly person used to live in different countries with different cultures. Respect is always both ways, but with little effort you get big success.
When possible, I love going to the beach, concerts, cooking & eating or simply drinking a glass of wine while reading a good book.
I was born nearby Barcelona. When I finished my studies I moved during 4 years in South America, and I'm actually living & working in Africa and the Middle East since the last 6 years. Sadly, as time goes on, I have the feeling world is not getting better. Anyway, while working and living in difficult contexts I've learn that even in worst situations there's always some people capable to smile. No matter how big is your problem, there is always a solution.
Unfortunately I cannot accommodate anymore... I must say I really enjoyed when I did.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCH-SURFING: I used to offer a couch. I'm afraid I can't do it anymore... Now, when possible, I love to visit places together with CS local community members.
COUCH SURFING EXPERIENCE: I have some experiences with CS (giving advice, hosting, going out, etc), and they have been always good. Really good.
I really like the non-monetary Couch Surfing idea: we share because we care and we want to know new people and places, not because we want to do business.
Interests
Quiet simple: I like to meet nice and interesting people , traveling and exploring the world, hanging out with friends, family, food, music, nature, arts...
- dancing
- dining
- cooking
- traveling
Music, Movies, and Books
To be honest, I like a little bit of everything.
In music I listen from latina to oriental, african, rock, pop,... everything! depends mostly on the mood and the moment.
And related to books, I especially enjoy García Márquez, Cortázar, Borges, Rulfo, Benedetti, Galeano... but I also read anything related to history, geography and politics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survive 18 months at the Sahara Dessert at 58 Celsius (I'm still sweating!), climb a 6.400m mountain in los Andes , travel on canoe at indigenous reserve territories at Amazons rain-forest, listening hyenas and lions at night (really close to my bedroom!) in South Sudan, sharing qadd and tea with sheiks in Yemen, being a guest at a Sultan's wedding in CAR, etc
Teach, Learn, Share
I am convinced it's more happy the one who gives than the one who receives, but anyway, I would love to improve some languages (Arabic and Portuguese basically), and I can show/teach you anything you want... if you're not very ambitious!
Nah, I love cooking, eating, chatting and dancing and I can share with you anything you want. Just let's try it.
If I can help you I will be really happy to do it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good time together, nice walks, good meals and interesting chats. No stress.
