About Me

Hey!
I'm a swedish writer, poet and graduate in philosophy, living in Stockholm! Most of my time I spend with literature, my friends, movies or training (mostly Crossfit, gymnastics and weightlifting). I enjoy intellectual conversations ranging from nerdy subjects to taboo subjects! I want meetings to be enriching, honest and respectful!

When not studying I work as a professional CrossFit coach and have been doing CrossFit since 2012. I've competing for a few years, but now i'm mostly training for fun, and would love to try new things like climbing, swimming or gymnastics (no ball sports unfortunately, since i suck at that heh..).

For guests: I live in a 43 m² flat right outside of Södermalm in Stockholm. My space is queer friendly and I want it to feel like a safe and comfortable place to stay! Hit me up with a message if you’re visiting Stockholm :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling but is not that fond of the tourist industry. Tourism is self-defeting in the sense that as soon as some place get's "discovered", for some reason the things you loved with the place tends to get lost due to exploitation or tourist traps. One way to still maintain the genuinity when travelling is to try to really get a sense of the life in the place you're visiting; that's more than just the climate, the restaurants and the museums. That's meeting locals, trying to understand the social and political situations on the place, and how life really is. As a tourist myself, I can not be a part of the social and political life, but maybe I can participate as close as possible. And couchsurfing is probably the best way to do that!

Please mind that I'm not using CS as a dating app, and i'm not interested in dating suggestions :)

When I travel I would love to meet new people and find all the sweet spots in a new city! As a guest i’m very practical and happy to help with cooking, cleaning or simply my excellent company! If you need quiet and solitude, just let me know and i can manage myself!

So, let't hangout and show me your best places in town! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Well since one of my goals is to be a writer, I believe there are two thing you need to do:
1: write
2: read.
So. except from writing daily. I'm reading a lot. My goal this year is a 100 books, and next year i hope to be able to read 150-200 books! Some favourites are Elena Ferrante, Neil Stephensson, Franz Kafka, Vigdis Hjorth, Sören Kierkegaard (even though I don't agree with him) and Hjalmar Söderberg (Somewhat eclectic, I know).

-Movies -
Anything with Nolan, Villeneuve, Ari Aster, Cameron, Luc Besson, Tarkovskij, Bergman. Also: super nerdy for star wars

-Music-

Bon Iver
The National
Tash Sultana
Simon and Garfunkel
Pink Floyd
Classical music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Walking alone in Venice after arriving with the night train (at 5AM), seing the sunset and having breakfast next to the canal (without any tourists).

- getting my first short story published

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm and educated personal trainer and have been working as a crossfit coach for 5 years, so if you'd like a crash course in weightlifting, KB:s or basic gymnastics, i'm up for it. I'd love to learn new movements/sports if you know any!

i'd also love to share texts and poetry although most of my work is in swedish :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe I am a respectful and nourishing company! I love to share stories, experiences and time with my hosts. I believe stories are one of the most precious things we can give to each other. I like talking about anything, as long as it's not some dull cold chat. Interesting philosophical topics, taboo topics, literature, movies, training whatever! I Write a lot so all experiences gives me inspiration for my writings!

I can also help with some coaching in weightlifting or basic gymnastics, literary discussions or sharing poetry or philosophical content!

If you need quiet and solitude, don't worry, I can manage myself as well (I'm a writer haha, solitude is my middle name).

I'd be happy to help with cleaning, cooking or whatever needs to be done! :D
