About Me

I was born and grew up in Neiva, a small town located in the south of Colombia. Now I live in Bogotá, Colombia’s capital. I work as a software developer for a company with headquarters in New York. Busy life, but always willing to help travellers. I had known wonderful people during my hosting experiences.
I am a quite easygoing person, trustworthy, and kind. If you enjoy sarcastic humour, for sure we’ll laugh to death :D. The culture and history are the best teachers for me, interesting conversations can come out at any moment.
My motto
"Somebody once told me the definition of hell: On your last day on earth, the person you became will meet the person you could have become."
“I am a Citizen of the World, and my Nationality is Goodwill”
"Our knowledge is a little island in a great ocean of nonknowledge." - Isaac Bashevis Singer

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here, of course, to meet people from all around the world, my brothers and sisters from others lands :D. In my opinion, the most important thing is to interchange experiences with others, it is one of the best ways to boost my motivation to reach my goals. So far, to have hosted and shared with so many surfers has been an awesome experience. I haven’t been a surfer ‘til now, but my first opportunity is coming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

travel around different countries and always find good people who treated me like a friend who had not seen time

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to teach my job. Sometime back I worked as software development teacher, it was a rewarding experience. I could teach the basics in programming, or building a web site. Explaining more advanced things could be possible too.
Teaching my language. I am patient especially when I teach Spanish. Non-natives who I have spoke to, usually feel comfortable when I interact with them. I try to do it clearly and slowly. People are often discouraged when learning Spanish because we talk fast.
Some cooking would be great too. I could cook typical dishes from my region, for example the Ajiaco. This is a delicious soup made with two varieties of potato, corn, chicken and other interesting ingredients.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A comfortable couch, blankets and shared bathroom, you can use the kitchen too. It is a good, clean and quiet environment

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Colombia, United States
