ABOUT ME

I’m Alceu, also known as Ace. I’m a biology teacher from Brazil. During college, I studied abroad in a few cities around the world: Bragança (Portugal), Salem (Massachusetts, USA) and NYC (New York, USA). Living in both Portugal and US was such a great experience. It changed me in so many ways. I live in Jaguaribe, CE, Brazil, now. I used to live in Portugal between September, 2012 and February, 2013 and in the US between September, 2013 and December, 2014. I really enjoy traveling, seeing new places, walking around...
But one thing that I still have to do is to travel around in Brazil. There's so many incredible cities, and beaches and foods and people. All different, all interesting. I feel like I don't know my own country yet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used couchsurfing a few times. I got hosts in Washington DC, Las Vegas and Recife. And I hosted a friend while I was living in Salem. I love the couchsurfing community. I have met so many incredible people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately, I've been reading my college books (ahah), my major is Biology and it's exhausting sometimes.
I enjoy novels and plays, I've read books like: 1984, Iracema, The Glass Menagerie, This is Our Youth, and True West.

I also enjoy reading about politics, education, psychology, science, Greek mythology, etc.

Regarding movies, I like comedies, dramas, and documentaries. I also like the classics: Charles Chaplin, Barbra Streisand (Funny Girl)...

I have an eternal love for Lady Gaga. I went to her concert in Boston when I used to live around MA. Do I need to say I screamed like crazy and danced my ass off? I also cried! =D She's amazing! I also enjoy, Ella Fitzgerald, Queen, Nicki Minaj, Sia, Amy Whinehouse, Adele, Estelle, Caetano Veloso, Ney Matogrosso, Alceu Valença, Cássia Elen, etc.

Paris and Venice are the two most beautiful places I've ever seen!
P.S. I wrote that before going to New York City.
Seating down in front of the Grand Canyon was mind-blowing for me.
