ABOUT ME

We hike, we bike, we climb, we run, we ski and we jump. In short, we love mountaineering, but overall we like to forget our fatigue and pains cooking and eating with our friends!

We love to talk for hours about travel, culture, social issues and politic. We are usually pretty quiet, enjoying the little treats of life but sometimes Lady craziness comes to visit us to dance and jump in the streets of the cities, meeting news people and looking for a place where a last beer can be purchased before the sun rises!

PHILOSOPHY

We try to love what we do, to have a life full of happiness.

Our golden rules: "Treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself" or "Avoid doing what you would blame others for doing."

Respect life.

It's mean that we try to take care of our environment: to get out of the consumerism, to eat local and fresh food (in addition it tastes so much better), to use our bike and legs a maximum, to enjoy slow life...

No stress; pas d'inquiétudes; no pasa nada (We are still learning to follow this rules :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First I (JY) mainly traveled and hosted people with my ex-flatmate (patatouilles on couchsurfing) but after a memorable blood sausages party with a couple of American hosts, I figured out CS is so great that it was worth it to create my own profile.

Then Perrine join the CS adventure with me, and since we never regret it. We met a lot of people via couchsurfing events in the different place where we have lived, we hosted a couple of people in Lyon and we got lucky to meet so much great people in South America ! So much sharing, so good to discover new cities mainly to meet the people inside.

Interests

I (Perrine) like my job (school teacher) but when I am not working, I like to cook, especially sweet food and I read a lot, all kind of book, depending of my mood.
That's what I do when it's raining! But when it's sunny I like to be outdoor, to enjoy the montains or others landscape!

I (Jean-Yves) like physic and heated debates about environment ! I also read a lot, and my hobbies are cooking (mainly dough-recipes) and climbing ! Mountains are so cool, I would like to try alpinism. At some point I was also interested by playing board game, such as Go...exciting Chinese game 3000 years old.

In short, we want to enjoy a full life !!

Books.....we love books ! It's the best human invention (with bread & cheeses)

We enjoy a lot watching movies...but we always forgot to do it !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We forgot to switch off the gaz in our flat during a week end...my god, neighbors and firemen were angry !

More recently we cross illegally a 150-m river to go hiking on the other side of the moutain, walking on a 1 inch-wide cable with a 25 lbs backpack. I thought my friend would never be able to do it, It was pretty silly...

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you some french food cooking, bread baking, how to drive a bicycle in Lyon without dying, how to be so late that your miss your flight, how to plant tomatoes and basil...

And we can learn everything you are ready to share !
