Overview
About Me
Hi, everyone! I am Alda, a brazilian scientist starting a new phase in my life. People describes me as someone a little passionate, spontaneous, hungry of life - one of my favorites phrases: life is too short!. I love music, specially rock'n roll, jazz, and classics. I also like brazilian popular music (not samba!). I used to play sax, but I am a little rusty. I love animals, particularly cats. I love many kinds of sports, including football (of course!), voleyball, swimming, diving, hiking, riding a bike, running, canyonning . I love to talk, sometimes, too much ( and I have a quite large repertory of subjects!)
Well, that's me. More, so much more, we can find out as the time goes by.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If you consider hosting me, some additional info:
- I love pets and unfortunately I couldn't travel with them. So I would love if you have any kind of pet. Certainly, I will get along with them quite well
- I never will ask for a key, I am very respectful of your space and I will try to accomodate myself acording your usual bedtimes
- Also, I will definitely enjoy your company, if you have time on your hands, but I'm able to explore a new place on my own. So, feel free to guide me in your city or not. I am really glad just to meet a new friend.

Music, Movies, and Books
My way (Sid Vicious version!)/ Summertime (piano version) / King and the Lionheart (Of Monsters and Men), those are my top 3!
I am addicted on Star wars and star trek! But I like other kind of movies too, including Harry Potter and How to training a dragon
Recently, completely guilty, I didn't spend time reading books, only papers and related books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a lot of amazing things in my life: I laughed, loved, tried all the opportunities and took risks. I survived after a coma, I got married (and divorced!), I lived in other countries, I rebuilt my professional career choosing completely different profiles, twice, I transformed human lives, I saved lives!
But I didn't write a book yet, and kids... no thanks!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am really interested in learning German. I am keen to share all my life experience and learn something from your wisdom.
