Hi there! My given name is Alden, and I'm a Spanish and TEFL teacher by trade -- currently on a bit of a sabbatical/training period in Europe before I try and live in Mexico for a spell.
I'm passionate about language education, people, music performance, community activism, food, and writing to name a few.

Music: Very open! Current genre obsessions include warbling bucolic dudes with guitars (FJM, Jose Gonzalez, Mark Kozelek), Afrobeat (Antibalas), Assorted African stuff I come across (Tal National, Bombino), Emo Country (Pinegrove), Alt-Country (Jason Isbell).
Movies: I like comedy, psychological thrillers, and sci fi, but am pretty open. Most recent film that I really enjoyed was The Lobster
Books: Always trying to juggle multiple reading endeavors. Last three books I read:
