About Me

*What am I doing with my Life?*
"What am I doing with my Life?" This question has haunted me for a long time. It has made me worry, ponder, reflect, frown and sometimes smile.
As a child, I had a million dreams in my eyes. I even wrote those dreams in old diaries and notebooks. I was the typical nerdy guy, the one who has the notion that by topping the class one can win the battles in the real world.
I was judgmental to an extent too, thinking that great students are superior as human beings as well.
There were moments when I have cried bitterly over losing a single mark during a unit test or class test. Those marks had given me my identity, and losing them made me insecure.
I smiled from within when my parents or family members mentioned that I was a good student. I had a notion that with a 1st Rank under your belt, one is a head turner.
Then came college. And also came a paradoxical shift in my thought process and life.
Though my grades didn't shine, like at school, learned a bigger lesson, the one of acceptance.
Accepting others for who they were without being judgmental. Easier said than done. But it is truly one of the greatest lessons in life.
I think all of us in our 20s have a very self-critical thinking pattern. Social networking sites are more like a bar graph or dashboard where we compare where we are with where others are.Sometimes we get a thrill while sharing our accomplishments while other times we silently nurse ourselves while watching others rocketing ahead.
We curse ourselves sometimes too, for choosing the wrong options, trusting the wrong people and making terrible mistakes.
We lose our peace of mind, we lose our present moment, we lose ourselves. But aren't we ourselves the architects of these loss?
My journeys, my trysts with people, my books and my mistakes have taught me to accept myself for who I am.
Everyday I handle calls, make presentations, travel in crowded buses, read random things, smile randomly, write random stuff. That makes me happy. We need to find such moments for ourselves, no matter what.
Time is not limited by measurements, it is eternal. The idea is to make the most of your time here: you never know when your time will run out. In the process, accept others, accept yourself and be happy.
So when the "What am I doing with my Life?" syndrome comes to you, smile, count your blessings and remember one important truth " It is you and only you who can discover the true reason behind your existence and manifest it"
Be Yourself.Dream Big. Stay Grounded.
