Обо мне
Originally from Argentina, I was involved in a "performing arts world" for about 5 years in Buenos Aires, studying theatre and getting a few roles every now and then in amateur theatre plays, student short films, and even a handful of random commercials.
At some point in my mid twenties, a series of circumstances suddenly changed for the better, finding me able to go overseas without a clear plan in my mind. So I decided to leave behind a rather draining routine of working, studying and not being able to do that much else... and I've been away ever since!
So after a stay in New Zealand (and a short visit to Europe and South East Asia) I find myself currently in Melbourne, Australia.
Что привело меня на Couchsurfing
My experience on CS is a bit limited, but definitely most enjoyed and appreciated :)
My first CS stay was in 2010 in New Zealand, before even having my own profile on this platform, thanks to a friend that introduced me to it.
Since then I've had a handful of great experiences, co-hosting a German girl in Melbourne, and also being hosted by a lovely expat in Marbella, Spain. Along the way I've also met some travel companions and got some useful travelling tips; I think it's a fabulous tool to meet people that would be tricky to connect to in other ways, and it's definitely a great source of more personable experiences while travelling or being in some sort of transient situation :)

Mmmm not sure I'm very good with this but a that will probably include humanities/social sciences (sociology, antropology), shamanism, aboriginal cultures, yoga, anarchism, discovering new music, cycling, going for a run, mellow world music festivals like WOMAD, alternative/holistic/natural medicine, documentaries, reading, conspiracy theories, the 60s, clumsy surfing/camping/being outdoors whenever that happens, being wrapped in a chat, taking things with humour, travelling, having a laugh, going to a beach, and (last but not least!! :P) drinking some *Abssssssssolutely Delicioussssss* "mate"! ;)

All of which probably makes me sound either a bit wanky, "interesting" or both! Right now I'm also a another guy filing out a form on a website... :P
I don't bite, I'm vaccinated, and I try to not to be a draining asshole. :)

Музыка, кино и книги
I feel I haven't been doing much "proper" reading (i.e. a big, fat novel) for a very long time, but I like to think of myself as a curious person, enjoying articles on a random range of topics, some magazines, occasional short stories or poetry, and other forms of "less committed", sort of non-fiction reading.
Something similar happens to me with movies; I feel I have been missing out on so many many maaaaany great movies it almost "stresses me out" to think of it! :P
I do enjoy documentaries though (I can watch Human Planet almost over and over) and some sitcoms/series that come to my head right now include Broadcity, Portlandia, Parks and Recreation, Little Britain, and Shameless, for example.
A rather aged, chaotic and unfair list of books and authors that for different reasons I have in mind (but not so much on my bedside table) would probably include:
"The cosmic serpent: DNA and the origins of knowledge" and "Intelligence in nature: an inquiry into knowledge" from Jeremy Narby, "The doors of perception" and "Brave new world", from Aldous Huxley; "Food of the gods: the search for the original tree of knowledge" from Terence Mckenna, "The art of loving", by Erich Fromm; "Buenos Aires, daily life and alienation", by Juan José Sebreli; "My orange lemon plant", by Jose Mauro De Vasconcelos; "Bardo Thodol/Tibetan book of the death"; "Popol Vuh" (mythistorical narratives of the Quiché kingdom); "Te lo juro por Batato. Biografía oral de Batato Barea", by Fernando Noy; "Sacate la careta. Ensayos sobre teatro, política y cultura", by Alberto Ure; "Open veins of Latin America", by Eduardo Galeano; "Matando enanos a garrotazos", by Alberto Laiseca; Carlos Castaneda, José María Arguedas, Timothy Leary, Julio Cortázar, Truman Capote, Arthur Shopenhauer, Martín Caparrós, Ítalo Calvino, Luigi Pirandello, Michael Foucalt, Oscar Wilde, Antonin Artaud, Augusto Boal, Paulo Freire, Susan Sontag, Naomi Klein, Rodolfo Walsh, Charles Bukowski, Osvaldo Soriano, Jorge Luis Borges, Jack Kerouak, Alasdair Gray, who knowsss??
Классная вещь, которую я сделал(-а)
Going to New Zealand to start with! with fairly vague plans as well; ending up in Australia, visiting Europe and SE Asia....
Walking the gorgeous Tongariro Crossing; having had a chance to stand for two seconds on a surfing board; a long day in a big city in China not speaking any chinese; spending a night in Kare Kare beach with great company... and a bunch of other humble, kind of "small-scale experiences" that seem almost immmmpossible to write about with any justice!...
The landscapes, culture, food and the people in Bali, Cambodia and Thailand certainly blew my mind and filled my heart. Not sure if learning 10 words in Khmer counts as something amazing, but it felt like a ridiculous "big" accomplishment to me! he
I also tried fried crickets, cured snake meat and some sort of "rodent" skewers, but I guess many many western tourists do that too.
Going to a world music festival called "WOMAD" in Adelaide, and watching and listening to some serious musical beasts from different parts of the world also counts as a big experience in my books, although not sure how "amazing" or mind blowing that could possibly be to anyone else...

Laziness, combined with human creativity, is an important source of human progress.

I'm really not very good at writing the most ultimate life philosophy on a website form
Чем я могу поделиться с хостами
A chat, a beer, experiences, some cooking, some "mate" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mate_(beverage), looking EXACTLY like Che Guevara while drinking it and sharing it (!?), a laugh, some obvious help around the house (I'm pretty neat in that front), being very easy going and upfront, and adapting to my host's needs/circumstances so we can both have a great, chilled time together.
