About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am studying and travelling. Enjoying the life and people that I meet

ABOUT ME

I am currently a graduate student in Finance in Milan. I liket travelling and meeting with new people and cultures.
I am very curious and I want to know as much as possible of the places I go.

PHILOSOPHY

Now I am currently at the end of university studies so my focus is on graduation and job opportunities but I want also to enjoy the free time that I have as a student to discover new things and places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to this community while in New York by my roommate.
I participated to some meeting in NY where I met many people.
In October 2010, I had my first real CS experiences travelling the west coast of the US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I would like to have more experience with CS, even if the time is not a lot (Ia m studying and working so I am a bit constrained at the moment).
I love this spirit of being available for people travelling in other places or countries.
CS is not only hosting but living with real locals and feeling the culture of the places you're visiting.
I would do the same in my region if anyone is interested in visiting it! ;-)

Interests

Apart form travelling, I like swimming, skying, hiking and playing tennis (but I have not been practicing a lot in recent years...).
I often go hiking in the Dolomites (south-eastern Alps) close to my town.

Music, Movies, and Books

Orwell, Arthur Conan Doyle, Italo Svevo are my favorite classics but I read many others too.

I grew up with rock bands at school but I listen to every kind of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled alone to Oxford when I was 15. It is not a difficult trip (Flight +bus). But the flight was very late, I had to sleep at the airport. Now It won't be nothing special but at that age as my first real trip it was an experience I could not forget.

I would like to do more in future.

Teach, Learn, Share

My experience is so far limited and there are for sure better people than me that can teach.
I have found out there are two ways of travelling. The first is the typical way: take the guide and visit the city/place. Maybe the easiest.

The second is a more complete experience. You visit the city/place but also you can feel part of it, living as a local with people that are living there.
I think that this is a kind of tourism that can only enrich people.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
