About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To help initiate a more connected and friendly world to live in
ABOUT ME
I'm a bit of a dreamer and often find myself in a daydream of wanderlust. I've seen more of the world than many people on this Earth but I guess once you catch the travel bug, it's hard to keep your feet and your mind in one place. Like most 20 somethings these days, Its hard to make ends meet and my career situation isn't ideal, and I don't get the chance to travel much anymore, so this seems like a great way to compensate. My favorite part about traveling was staying at hostels and meets new people and making new friends, the sight seeing, almost became like a secondary bonus!
I live in smack dab in the historic old city of Philadelphia (the birth place of the US). Just a few blocks away from Independence hall, B. Franklin's grave the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross's House etc etc. I still cant get over where I live sometimes. I live with my husband Joel of 6 years who is a historian as well, our old lazy cat Pistol, our blind lopp-eared bunny Bugsy and our turtle Chesterfield. It's a small place, but our couch folds out and it's welcome to anyone who wants it.
PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
One day I'd like to be an active couch surfer, but money and time being as it is right now, I'm content to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
none yet, I've just heard some great things.
Interests
I love art and history (especially medieval and early modern art of the 18th and 19th centuries)I love watching period films and historical fiction. And I'm a bit of a Sci-fi nerd sometimes. I love to play tennis when I can manage to find a partner. I like to dabble in designing and sewing but am only an amateur. I enjoy learning about different cultures from people and hope to one day learn French.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to England for a year to get my Masters degree in Nottingham. During that time, I traveled all over the England, and visited Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Berlin, Buda-Pest and Krakow (which happened to be my personal favorite). I met some incredible people while at school and while staying at hostels. My only regret is that my year abroad didn't last longer.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about art history and usually make a good on-the-spot tour guide companion for art museums and local site seeing.
I am interested in learning French, so any tutoring from fellow couch surfers will always be welcome.
I will always be interested in the customs of other cultures and will probably ask lots of questions of yours!
